And so by now Twisty comes back to our table, "So aren’t any of yuns’ going to keep an eye on the Weener?’
Everyone sort of tries to shrug it off, "The Township namesake can take of of himself," Chet points out.
"But it’s the WeenerMan," Twisty emphasizes, "He will invent new ways to outdo himself."
"I’ll be in the shop all afternoon," Chets remembers.
"And down at the station, they have me changing out the brushes in the car wash," Lem points out .
"Well, I’d go myself, but we’ll be getting pizzias ready for when the softball league lets out tonight," Twisty is exasperated.
Paula nods to confirm Twisty.
Suddenly it appears that all eyes are trained on me. I make a motion with my thumb and ask, "How ’bout Ernie."
Ernie Stubbs looks our way, waves and goes back to his comic book.
"Why that comic book will keep Ernie busy all afternoon," Twisty determines, "Now get your keester out there looking for the Weener-Man before I give it a right proper drop-kick!"
Chet nods over, "Better get moving, before she makes it a long attempt from the 50-yard line."
