As I lean against the cave wall, catching up on my breath, notice that the trickle of water has a very faint sulpher smell to it. But not quite egg-level supher smell that sometimes come from well-water. The scent is somewhat tolerable. But then agaain it wasn’t. I pull out a pocket-flashlight and shine it on the trickle. The water has the faintest green-tinge. Trace levels of copper? I speculate.
Then something reminds of what Drollinger and the other old-fellows had been telling us more gullible young fellows about; I may well have rediscovered the secret location of the Lost Cave.
