Twistine quickly changs the subject, "Kiwi-birds? I thought kiwis were those little green fruits you get at the grocery store."
"Kiwis are a species of small flightless bird that reside in New Zealand," HM Weener-Man explains to us all.
"And they eat worms too," Ernie puts in, "Pull them right out of the ground."
"Worms?" Twisty asks with apprehension.
"Sort of like the ones we buy at Handy Hanks to go fishing with," I explain.
"We buy them because you fellas are too lazy to go dig some up," Twisty remarks.
"The soils around here have been found to be too rocky to support large colonies of earthworms," Weener-Man explains.
"Yeah right," Twistine replies, "Sounds like your reason for having me put the worms on the hook, like I put themojn better, so they won’t fall off."
"We’ve been trying to get your Uncle Heinrich to let us use some of his award-winning plastic worms," I answer.
"Uncle Heinrich doesn’t want it getting around that his custom-made plastic earthworm rigs catch those yellow catfish," Twisty answers back.
