The Long Green Drive

Judge Patrick seaks, “I empathize with you son, that drive looks pretty long, for a putt.”
The WeenerMan agrees with the Judge, “Normally, a putt would work out, they even have banks on the hole.”
The Judge observes, “Looks like a simple ramp, with a drop off onto the green by the hole.”
I frown, “Still it’s a long ways.”
Judge Patrick assures me, “Think mini-golf.”
The WeenerMan reassures me, “Think hockey.”
I shrug and give the golf ball a solid slap down the green.
The ball hops a couple of times and then picks up speed.
“Mac n’ Malt Matilda must have set the carpet to play faster,” the WeenerMan comments.
“Now you tell me,” I grimace as the ball goes up the hill, drops onto the target-green at a fast clip and rolls in a brownish shaded area and makes a clunking sound.
