Onward, Sorta

I finally make the tap-in and Judge Patrick speaks, “Onto the next, Onwards and Upwards I always say.”
Judge Patrick waits for a response, “HM?” he asks, “WeenerMan?”
“Up here,” comes the non-hurried reply.
We look up to see HM WeenerMan perched in the fork of a nearby box-elder.
HM explains, “It’s shadey up here in the trees.”
“Uhm,” Judge Patrick mutters, “What’s the next hole look like?”
“You want me to say?” WeenerMan asks back.
“Just the ranges and stuff,” Judge Patrick explains, “Just estimates if you know what I mean.”
The Weenerman puts a hand over his brow, “About 25 yards to the first holes.”
“The First Holes,” Judge Patrick sputters.
The WeenerMan shrugs, “This is a pick-your-hole fairway, a favorite Scheme of Max and Matilda.”
“Holey-Moley,” Judge Patrick sputters beneath his moustache.
We each set up and knock our golf balls down where they rebound off of a corner and disappear.
“Now to go down and inspect the damage,” Judge Patrick figures.
“I can go back up the tree,” HM WeenerMan offers.
That won’t be necessary,” Judge Patrick pontificates, “Enough arboreal adventures for one day.”
